Julie – Salon Owner/Stylist/Color Specialist

As a stylist for over 20 years and as a salon owner, Julie leads by example in creating natural looking color, accented perfectly with just the right highlighted tones to complete the perfect haircut. Her vision is to create a "drama free, diva free" salon atmosphere that is both professional and comfortable for client and stylist alike. Her passion for hair design and her love for color has been fed by the many advanced training classes and workshops that she has attended, through Redken, Joico, Goldwell, Matrix, Paul Mitchell, Aveda and even Ultra Tress hair extensions. Through this training, she has cultivated a keen eye for the art of hair design as well as superior communication skills to be able to achieve the perfect result. It is her love of this industry and it’s energy that continues to motivate her to seek out continual training for herself and her staff in every aspect of hair styling.

Kelly – Salon Owner/Stylist/Color Specialist (1973-2009)

Kelly, a true master stylist, enjoyed a very successful and fulfilling career in the beauty industry for nearly two decades. She appealed to a wide variety of clients who, after one visit to her chair, were completely dedicated and loyal. She coupled her amazing talent for hair design with a sense of humor that was hard to beat. Kelly was committed to creating and maintaining a consistently professional yet comfortable environment for stylists and clients alike. She will always be a huge and integral part of the Salon Crimson family, history and success. She was dearly loved and will be truly missed by all.

Yesim – Stylist/Colorist/Wedding and Formal Hair Specialist

Yesim specializes in precision cutting and, with her artistic vision and impressive attention to detail, enjoys working with clients to achieve styles individualized to their needs. With over nine years of experience, she keeps up with the latest techniques and trends as they appear on the fashion scene. She is constantly working on her own innovative designs, always pushing the boundaries of hair while consistently providing excellent customer service to both her new and loyal clients alike. Yesim has been a stylist with Salon Crimson since the salon's inception and has worked in the Old Saybrook area for many years. She regularly styles hair for fashion shows and photo shoots and is well known for and enjoys creating memorable styles for weddings and other special occasions. Whether you want a contemporary classic cut or a funky avant-garde style, you are sure to be pleased with the experience and the result.

Michele – Stylist/Colorist

Michele is a graduate of the world famous Paul Mitchell Academy. Her years of experience and training have fed her genuine passion for the art of hair color and design. Michele thrives on new ideas and truly enjoys making the most of dimensional color, face framing and color placement to enhance the individual cut and style. She is also trained in the Coppola Keratin Smoothing System. Michele continues her education by frequently attending seminars to keep her skills on the cutting edge. She has vast product knowledge and can analyze each individual's hair type to correctly prescribe the right product to complete the style.

Amber – Stylist/Colorist

In just 8 years behind the chair, Amber has let her passion and talent for hair take her to great lengths. A young start in the industry has given her the advantage of being up on trends, while her aptitude for fashion helps to translate artistic styles into livable, practical cuts. Amber has an eye for balance and symmetry that, when combined with her technical abilities, allows her to create stunning, flattering results. Mixing her skill and technique with incredible creativity, a true down-to-earth personality and exceptional skills she is one of the most sought after stylists in the area. She is certified and experienced in Ultra Tress human hair extensions as well as the Keratin Smoothing System. She enthusiastically seeks out continuing advanced education and is knowledgable and adept with a variety of products, tools and techniques and is always educating the client to be able to achieve the same result at home.

With 13 years in the industry, Katie has a great passion and an artistic talent for the fine art of hair design. Her strong ability in color is what she specializes in. She enjoys creating natural looking highlights as well as bold and dramatic colors and complimenting it with a precision haircut. Her goal is to give you a look that compliments your lifestyle as well as brings out your best features. Katie listens to her clients to meet exactly what it is they are looking for. Her talents also include Updo’s for special occasions as well as proms and weddings.
